How To Jailbreak With GreenPoison Ipod touches 2G,3G and 4G (Only Firmware 4.2.1)

 GreenPoison now supports all ipod touches (including all bothrooms),that's the easiest program with a great performance,perfect for newbies on jailbreaking (more experienced of course use RedSnow).

  Getting Started:

1-Download GreenPoison (newest version rc6.1):

2-Open the program and plug your devide turned off,you might see it:

3-Take care to don't make mistakes now,it's a simple way to prepare your device to be jailbreaked (entering in DFU mode ),don't worry,becaused you won't loose any data when you are done jailbraking.Follow the steps carefully:

4-Hit "Jailbreak"!

5-Your ipod may show some strange characters and images,don't worry!It's your ipod becoming free xD
Warning:Don't unplug untill your ipod restart!

6-Your bootlogo may appear a skull face and not the default apple.But you can change it later with cydia =)
(I'll show you how later).

GreenPoison:News About Jailbreaking 3g and 4g Newest Firmwares

   From sometime ago to now,greenpoison announced about a bug in the program that was fixed.And new awesome features came with that!After fixing this simple error,they could decode all the archives of the firmware!

   Here comes some new (probably) features:

-Entering in DFU mode won't be necessary anymore.
-Everything will be done in the iBoot.
-No more custom firmwares will be needed.
-Jailbreaking process will be quick and take less that one minute.
-It will be always a untethered jailbreak.

  You'll just need the archive called "LibUSB",but it''ll be included in the program or they'll give you the download.

  I just can't wait for that! =D

JailBreak Ipod Touch 2g (Mb--> Old Bothroom) With RedSnow

  As my first thread,I'll make a tutorial about jailbreaking ipod touch 2g (Mb model,the older bothroom.I'll make a tutorial to jailbreak the new Mc model).
  Remember that it's a untethered jailbreak,you won't need a pc to restart your ipod  =)

    Now Let's Get It Started:

1-Download newest version of redsnow (0.9.6rc19):

2-Download your current IPSW (your current ipod touch version,called firmware ),it can be found Here or you can download it via iTunes.Remeber to put it somewhere you can easily find it.


3-After all downloads are done,open redsnow program.You should browse to the IPSW you downloaded before.

                   After choosing it,RedSnow will take a quick look at it to see if it's supported:

                                                  A small window should pop-up,just hit "No":

                                           After that,hit Next and wait to the bar to complete.

5-After Choosing your preferences,hit next again and connect you ipod.Don't forget to turn it off.Take care to don't make mistakes now,it's a simple process to make your ipod get into DFU mode (you won't loose any data when it ends).When you are done,click on "JailBreak!"



6-Your ipod should show some characters and numbers,don't worry it's the program jailbreaking your ipod =)

7-When process ends up,wait to your ipod to reboot and enjoy your jailbroken ipod!
